ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION:

DEGREE COLLEGE

 

  1. Students who pass the Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.) Examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, are eligible for admission to the F.Y.B.A. /B.Sc. /B. Com./ B. M. S. / B. Sc (IT).
  2. Students who pass the H.S.C. or equivalent examination of any other Board must produce an eligibility certificate issued by the Eligibility Section, University of Mumbai, Kalina, Mumbai - 400 098.

 

Admission to Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree Course

As per University of Mumbai Circular No. UG/105 of 2004 dated 15.03.2004, a candidate for being eligible for admission to the First Year of the three year integrated course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination conducted by the different Divisional
Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects:

  1. English
  2. Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any Classical Language or Information Technology.
  3. Any four subjects carrying 100 marks each.

                                     OR
Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination with Vocational subject conducted by the different Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects:

  1. English
  2. Any one Vocational subject carrying 200 marks prescribed for the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination from time to time.
  3. Any three subjects carrying 100 marks each.

                                      OR
Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination with the Minimum Competency based Vocational courses conducted by the different Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects:

  1. English
  2. Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any Classical Language or Information Technology.
  3. General Foundation Course.
  4. Any one subject carrying 300 marks from among the Minimum Competency based Vocational courses prescribed by Higher Secondary Certificate Examination from the time to time.

Must have passed an Examination of another University or Body Recognized as equivalent thereto.

                                                                                     Admission to Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) Degree Course
As per University of Mumbai Circular No. UG/105 of 2004 dated 15.03.2004, a candidate for being eligible for admission to the First Year of the three year integrated course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination conducted by the different
Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects:

  1. English
  2. Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any Classical Language or Information Technology.
  3. Any three subjects from among the subjects mentioned below:
    Economics, Book-Keeping and Accountancy, Organization of
    Commerce, Geography, Mathematics and Statistics, Secretarial
    Practice, Co-operation.
  4. Any one optional subject carrying 100 marks.

Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination with Vocational subject conducted by the different Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects:

  1. English
  2. Any one Vocational subject carrying 200 marks prescribed for the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination from time to time.
  3. Any three subjects carrying 100 marks each from among the subjects under the faculty of Commerce.

Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education from Arts and Science streams with the following combination of subjects:

  1. English
  2. Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any Classical Language or Information Technology.
  3. Any one subject from the following five subjects:
    Economics, Geography, Mathematics and Statistics, Psychology,
    Geology.
  4. Any three subjects carrying 100 marks each from among the subjects under faculty of Arts or Science.

Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education from Arts and Science streams with the following combination of subjects:

  1. English
  2. Any one Vocational subject carrying 200 marks prescribed for the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination from time to time.
  3. Any one subject from the following five subjects: Economics, Geography, Mathematics and Statistics, Psychology,
    Geology.
  4. Any two subjects carrying 100 marks each from among the subjects under faculty of Arts or Science.

As per University of Mumbai Circular No. UG/394 of 2004 dated 06.09.2004, a candidate for being eligible for admission to the First Year of the three year integrated course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination conducted by the different
Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects:
A. SCIENCE STREAM (GENERAL):

  1. English (Higher or Lower level) carrying 100 marks.
  2. Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any Classical Language or Information Technology carrying 100 marks.
  3. Any four subjects from among the subjects mentioned below carrying a total of 400 marks:
    Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Statistics,
    Geography, Economics, Geology, Psychology.

    3. Any three subjects from among the subjects mentioned below carrying a total of 300 marks:
       Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Statistics,Geography, Economics, Geology, Psychology, and Any one optional subject carrying 100 marks as prescribed for HSC (XIIth Standard) Examination.

B. VOCATIONAL STREAM:
Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination with Vocational subjects conducted by the different Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects:

  1. English (Higher or Lower level) carrying 100 marks.
  2. Any one vocational subject carrying 200 marks prescribed for the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination under the Technical, Commerce, Agriculture, Catering & Food Technology or Fisheries Groups.
  3. Any three subjects from among the subjects mentioned below carrying a total of 300 marks:
    Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Statistics.

C. H. S. C. (VOCATIONAL) [MCVC] STREAM:
Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination with the Minimum Competency based Vocational courses conducted by the different Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects:

  1. English (Higher or Lower level) carrying 100 marks.
  2. Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any Classical Language or Information Technology
  3. carrying 100 marks.
  4. General Foundation Course carrying 100 marks.
  5. Any three subjects of the Minimum Competency Vocational subjects carrying 300 marks prescribed for the Higher Secondary School Certificate (XIIth Standard) Examination under Engineering & Technology, Agriculture, Catering & Food Technology, Fisheries or Para-Medical Groups.

Further that the students, passing the HSC (XIIth Standard) Examination with the MCVC stream shall be eligible of admission to the F.Y.B.Sc. for certain subject combinations only depending on their Minimum Competency Vocational subjects of the MCVC stream as specified in the following Table:

(Xth Standard) Three Year Engineering Diploma Course or the 4th Semester of Six Semester  Engineering Diploma Course conducted by / approved by / recognized by / affiliated to the Maharashtra Board of Technical Education of another Body/Board recognized as equivalent thereto. These students of Engineering Diploma Courses shall be eligible to offer any three of the following subjects for admission to the F.Y.B.Sc.: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology.

                                                                                                                  Degree Course

As per the University of Mumbai Circular No. UG/284 of 2007 dated 16.06.2007, following is the Ordinance 5719 relating to the eligibility for admission to the First Year of the Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) Degree course:

A candidate for being eligible for admission to the First year of the three year integrated course leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) [B.Sc.(Computer Science)] must have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate examination (XIIth Standard) in Science Stream conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with Mathematics and Statistics as one of subject or it’s equivalent.

Admission will be on merit, based on order of preference as follows:

  1. Aggregate Marks at H.S.C. or equivalent.
  2. Aggregate Marks in Science Group (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics)
  3. Marks in Mathematics and Statistics and Physics.
  4. Marks in Mathematics and Statistics.

    This is a self-financed course.

FEES

  1. Students should pay the prescribed fees to the Accounts Section or Special Counters opened for the purpose at the time of admission to the F.Y.J.C. (Arts / Science/ Commerce) and F. Y. B. A. / B. Sc. / B. Com. / B. M. S. / B. Sc.(IT) classes.
  2. Schedule of fees will be displayed on the College Notice Board.
  3. Fees will be accepted in Cash/Cheque for both the Junior & the Degree College.
  4. Fees should be paid at the authorised counter only.
  5. Guardians should ensure that they obtain a stamped receipt immediately after any payment is made.
  6. Care should be taken to ensure that payments are not made to unauthorised persons. The College will not be responsible for any lapse in this matter.
  7. Reserve Category Students must fill the Freeship / Scholarship forms as per the schedule displayed on the Notice Board.
  8. Eligible Reserve Category students will be exempted from paying full regular fees. The proposal will be sent to the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra for its sanction. They will be required to pay the Fees not sanctioned by the Social Welfare Department in the Second Term.
